Frequently Asked Questions

Do Lala's Recipes Meet AAFCO Standards?

Lala's meets 100% of AAFCO standards and always chooses the healthiest ingredients for your pup!

I noticed that your recipes contain wild Alaskan salmon oil... why?

Salmon oil is truly remarkable due to its trio of fatty acids: Omega 3, 6, and 9. These essential nutrients offer a multitude of benefits for your dog's body and mind, promoting healthier skin and coat quality, improved heart health, and a boosted immune system, brain function, and mobility. Salmon oil contributes to better brain function, mental development, and memory, making your dog smarter.

What if my dog is pregnant or breastfeeding?

Pregnancy and nursing alter a dog's eating habits, body, and lifestyle. It's crucial to monitor their nutritional needs throughout these stages. Tailoring the feeding plan based on the dog's breed, size, health, and age is important. Collaboration with a vet is essential, to ensure the dog's specific requirements are met during pregnancy and nursing.

What is Lala's Return Policy?

At Lala’s, we take pride in crafting fresh, nutritious meals your dog will love — made to order, with the highest quality ingredients. Because our food is fresh, perishable, and made just for your pup, we do not accept returns. Once a product leaves our kitchen, it cannot be restocked or resold for safety reasons. We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions before placing your order — we’re always happy to help!

Does slow cooking truly benefit my dog's health?

In animal studies, reducing Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs) intake by half through slow-cooking, without changing the diet's content increased the animals' lifespan compared to those consuming the same diet prepared conventionally.

How much should I feed my dog?

As always, we recommend you consult with your vet before deciding on your dog's food, feeding schedule, and serving size. However, these suggested feeding schedules are generally accepted as being safe for your dog. Adult dogs should eat twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening.

Are your recipes veterinarian-approved?

Lala's recipes have been reviewed and approved by a board-certified veterinarian, whom we partner with to review all of our products. All of our recipes are complete and balanced! Packed with fortified essential vitamins and amino acids, our recipes are made with your pup's health in mind, 100% of the time. Remember, dog food is not a one-size fits all concept. Always consult with your dog's vet, and ask for their opinion based on your own pup's specific health and dietary needs, before feeding them any new foods.
